In this workshop we will explore assessment in mathematics: how to create learning goals, how to describe the proficiency scales, and how these can then inform intentional assessment design. Using proficiency scales in assessment is much more that new labels. It has a focus on evidence of learning, and describing what proficiency looks like in relation to learning goals. The target audience is Grades 6-9, but the principles of assessment in math will apply to all grade levels.
